Mission Services Department

The Mission Services Department continues the legacy of compassionate care begun by the Felician Sisters. In that Felician-Franciscan tradition, we serve the whole person - body, mind and spirit - in imitation of our foundress, Blessed Angela Truszkowska. We help ensure that the spiritual and emotional needs of residents/patients, staff and visitors are being addressed, and that the mission, vision and values of Felician Village continue to permeate every aspect of our ministry. Mission Services also directs an Ethics Committee that is available to residents/patients, staff, families and the wider community for consults and ongoing education.

Chaplain

Felician Village has a chaplain on staff who provides professional spiritual care for residents, assisting them in utilizing their personal spiritual resources to live lives filled with hope, meaning, and purpose. Our chaplain provides an ecumenical worship service on campus, group spiritual reflection in the clinical areas of campus, one-on-one visits with residents who desire grief support, or assistance coping with other life transitions or losses. The chaplain celebrates joys and milestones along with residents and their families, including a special birthday ministry. They also provide spiritual support to residents and their families at the end of life and work with the interdisciplinary care team to provide spiritual and ethical perspectives regarding decisions on treatment measures, hospice, or comfort care.

Blessed Angela Chapel

*Mass at Felician Village is not open to the public. Only residents, their family, staff and volunteer escorts assisting that day may attend.

Felician Village offers a variety of worship services on campus for men and women of many religious backgrounds, as well as various ecumenical services and programs. As a Catholic institution, we are grateful to have daily Mass and other sacraments available for our Catholic residents/patients and their loved ones, and we also host a regular rotation of WELS Lutheran and other Protestant services. All services are held in the Blessed Angela Chapel, located in the Village Square. All services are also broadcast on our closed circuit TV system.
