Become a CNA

Always wanted to work in healthcare? Here’s your chance.

Written by Michael Hillmer, Director of Human Resources

Has one of your dreams been to work in healthcare but you never knew how you were going to manage the schooling along with all the other responsibilities in your life?

Now for only 75 hours of your time and a willingness to learn, we can help make your dream come true.

Felician Village is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant class at no cost for those who enjoy providing care to others, especially the elderly. For those whose ultimate goal is to become a nurse, becoming a CNA is the first step.

Due to COVID-19, the State of Wisconsin reduced the number of hours of class training a person must undergo in order to take the Wisconsin CNA licensing exam. Participants still receive a high quality classroom training as well as a clinical experience, all held right here at St. Mary’s on the Felician Village campus.

After completion of the course, students must have the ability to work a full-time or part-time p.m. shift position.

Do you want flexibility in scheduling?

Excellent benefits including health insurance, vacation, retirement contribution, etc., with a commitment of 45 hours of work in a two week period?

Gratitude pay along with shift differential?

Future career growth opportunities?

You’ll find it all here as a Felician Village employee.

Applications for the CNA class will be taken through April 28 with the next class starting May 3. To apply online, click here or apply at our front desk located at 1635 S. 21st Street, Manitowoc. If you have questions, contact Michael Hillmer, Director of Human Resources, at 684-7171, ext. 293 or mhillmer@felicianvillage.org.
