FV Welcomes New Director of Mission Services

We are excited to announce Barb Spies, OFS, as the new Director of Mission Services and Pastoral Care. Barb fills the role held by Carla Schommer, who transitioned to her new role as the Vice President of Mission Integration for Felician Services in Chicago, IL.

Barb most recently was the Director of Mission Integration at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee where she was also a Professor of Communication for 20 years. As a Secular Franciscan, an Order in the Catholic Church, she follows the Rule of St. Francis of Assisi for lay people. Barb has a Ph.D. in Communication from Penn State and a Certificate in Franciscan Studies from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. She teaches a preaching workshop to Franciscan Friar novices each fall. Barb is the Formation Director for her Secular Franciscan fraternity. Please join us in welcoming Barb to Felician Village!
